The 2021 Block Party is dedicated to our neighbor Bernard Liddell, 1949-2021. For more than a decade, we relied on Bernard and his white pickup truck to procure and distribute the trash and recycling bins, the tables, and the pop-up tents for the annual Block Party and for the bi-annual Home Tour. A dear friend and neighbor, we miss Bernard greatly.
A colorful raconteur, Bernard was known for having an opinion on virtually any subject posed to him. We'll have a poster on display at the Block Party: "What would Bernard say?" We invite neighbors to write their answers on the poster. The poster will be given to Bernard's family at the end of the day as a memento.
